Ickleton Parish Council: Annual General Meeting. Terry Sadler was re-elected Chairman and Lewis Duke Vice-Chairman for the forthcoming year.

Cllr Martin introduced the newly elected County Councillor Peter Topping to the Parish Council, who was welcomed to the meeting by the Chairman.
Ickleton Tennis Club – Adult tennis was now being played every Friday at 7.30pm on the courts at the rear of Norman Hall via the entrance in Mill Lane.
CCC Definitive Map Modification Order 2011(Footpaths 7, 4 and 12) – The Planning Inspectorate – A letter from The Planning Inspectorate confirmed that the Order (dated 25 November 2011) is confirmed and proposed to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by deleting one footpath and adding another. This means there will be a public footpath going from the level crossing in Brookhampton Street to the west of the railway line, and the present footpath that crosses the railway line from the continuation of Water Lane to the east of the railway line will be closed. The Water Lane footpath that links to the Hinxton footpath network will remain in place.
Ron Coulson – The Chairman paid tribute to Ron Coulson, who had given up the grass cutting contract following a very long stint of over 50 years service, having taken over from Johnnie Andrews. The Council were very grateful for his very good and long service to the village.
Potholes – Numerous potholes have been reported and it is hoped these will be repaired shortly. Residents can report those that are missed or new ones that appear on line:
Installation of posts on the public highway – The Chairman had been notified by CCC Highways that Mr & Mrs Clew could install posts outside their house at 53 Abbey Street at their own expense.

Grass Cutting: Arrangements have been put in place for the cutting of the grass by Charles Frankau and Dominic Pallett. The Parish Council was pleased to welcome Dominic who resides on Grange Road to help keep our village in good order.
Additional litterbins and dog bin – Ickleton is on a waiting list for 3 additional litterbins and one replacement litterbin to be installed on the Recreation field by SCDC. SCDC have also agreed to install a new dog bin in Back Lane
