Photo Competition – deadline 11 September

The Ickleton Society is holding a light-hearted photography competition is being held as part of Ickleton Past & Present on 17 September in the Village Hall, 11am to 3pm (see separate post).  There are 2 classes with entries limited to folk living in the village and those who have a connection with the village:

  • Adult Category – photographic subject A Domestic Architectural Feature in Ickleton: should be an external feature on a house in the village such as a roof, door, chimney, door hardware, window, pargetting, sign etc.
  • Children 16 and Under – An Ickletonian Animal(s): could be a family pet or a friend’s pet or a wild or farm animal.  Could be a silent ‘cuddly’ animal friend or an animal garden ornament.  Animal must live in the village!

Entries can be submitted either digitally via a jpeg or as a hard copy photo.  Please email jpeg to fionarrose@yahoo.co.uk (please note the 2 rs in the address) or drop off a hard copy to Craftsman Barn, Butchers Hill.  Entries to be received by Sunday 11th September.  Please include your name, contact telephone number and your age for the children’s category.  You can also include a title for your photograph if you wish.

The winners will be announced at about 3pm at Ickleton Past & Present on 17 September in the Village Hall.

All entries will be displayed at Past & Present and the prizes are:

Adults:  The Ickleton Lion has generously donated a 3 course meal for 2 with a round of drinks for the winner.

Children: A £20 book token kindly donated by Hart'[s Books and the Ickleton Society.
