English Heritage believe that Ickleton’s medieval strip lynchets may be of national importance! The Wombwell family, with the support of Natural England, will be restoring the lynchets over the next couple of years and are also creating wildlife habitats in the baulks field. They have very kindly agreed to show us what they have achieved so far and describe their plans. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the historic lynchets and also the wildlife found there. Everyone is welcome. Meet at 7.30pm at the field gate at the far end of the Coploe Road motorway bridge.
